Fire is the classical element of human beings

Although in the Palaeolithic age fire profited for humans, nowadays damages caused by fire unfortunately are irreversible, often not only property damages but also taking toll great loss of life. In case of fire not only the fire and the heat mean the danger but the smoke and the toxic flue gases too. Based on researches the smoke and the flue gases result in almost 90% of fire victims. Smoke is dangerous to human who is inside the premises, effect choking and also reducing eyeshot.

Breathing only one volumetric warm flue is fatal! Flue gas is dangerous because:

• toxic gases which are inside effect death
• the so-called corrosive components erode while breathing them in and also harm your lungs and respiratory tracts.

The most effective protection in case of fire is if you lead the gases outdoors. Basically you cannot prevent from fire in a building, therefore in the Act 9/2008 (II.22.) ÖTM was decided about the aggravation of the regulation of the fire protection in reference to the usage of institutions and buildings, requirements about the so-called RWA equipments, which is valid since 22th of May, 2008.

Briefly about the RWA

Nowadays the RWA equipments have become necessary. They manage to lead smoke and heat outdoors out of the building, guarantee the smokeless area in the fire routes, and secure clear visibility for the firemen. Nevertheless to have all these advantages you must place the automatic fire-alarms high enough so the smoke or the heat could not reach them. The additional fire damages could be significantly reduced by removing the combustion gases and decompositions.

Take the regulations seriously; do not play with human lives or as the phrase goes do not play with fire!
